Let&#8217;s start with&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I &#8211; The Technical Part<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly, the saves are now encrypted, which prevents &#8220;easy cheating.&#8221; For example, manually editing the save files with a text editor to add unlimited ammo for the player. Now, the save files are encoded in binary after a basic cipher. This is intended to be a bonus level that players have to discover themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">II &#8211; Official Demo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, for a BIG milestone: I&#8217;ve prepared the final build for the demo, which will be released on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">July 24th, 2023<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8230;during a Steam festival. Hopefully, this will generate more visibility and attract more people to discover the game. So mark your calendars for July 24th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">III &#8211; Communication<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Lately, I&#8217;ve been focusing on improving communication, as it is crucial to spread the word. This should hopefully result in some press articles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve also submitted the game to two more video game festivals, although I haven&#8217;t been successful yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, I&#8217;m still actively sharing my work on Reddit through ads and regular posts. One of my posts performed well in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/VideojuegosMX\/comments\/14r4w93\/aqu%C3%AD_est%C3%A1_finalmente_el_tr%C3%A1iler_de_presentaci%C3%B3n\/\">Mexican subreddit<\/a>. You can check it out here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peppercarrot.com\/en\/\">https:\/\/www.peppercarrot.com\/en\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal was to make a game set in the universe of the webcomic.
