About

Hi ! I’m Mathias.

I’m a kid of the 80’s, and I’m in love with video game creation since then.

I like to code, paint, create 3D stuff and play music. Here you’ll find stuff about my games and how I make them: news, demos, tutos… I hope you’ll like it!

Zefyr lives on and prototypes

Hi there!

Here come the latest news! Zefyr has been released almost 10 months ago and it’s slowly finding its audience. We have recently reached more that 300 reviews with a 96% positive ratio, which is super reinsuring for me. I’m still far from breaking even, but the player reception is heartwarming. Sadly, the sales are already slowing down, but I guess this is the destiny of all games (sooner or later).

So even if I’m still active on the forums to help stuck players, I had a bit of time to try and experiment new prototypes. And among these, one is starting to take form…

This last month, I worked on an idea I had in mind for a while: a simple survival craft game where you are a lone survivor in the desert and drive to find a city called New Eden, thanks to a radio signal. Hopefully a pitch with a smaller scope than Zefyr, but with many common points, starting with a super feelgood mood (yes, a feelgood survival craft!). So I tried to create the basic elements for this game:

  • a van to drive
  • a character to control and keep alive
  • a desert to explore

Here’s how it looks like right now:

And this time, I take the time to share stuff regularly on social network, so don’t hesitate to follow me there and share around, this would help a LOOOT! I particularly shared shorts on youtube, check them out if you want to see more! And yes, I tried to learn from my mistakes and from now on, I have a planning for myself that includes communication and marketing timeslots. (believe it or not, for Zefyr, it was a waaaaay more chaotic process).

Hopefully this could turn into a full game in the near future. But keep in mind this is a work-in-progress, so lots of things can change, or at least evolve (the visual, the pitch, the gameplay, …). Of course I’ll keep you posted!
And that’s it for today!

As always, thanks a lot for your support, have a great day and take care! Peace!

Mathias, the dev.
